An Afternoon of Engaging Theater!

On November 20th and December 4th the ten residents of the new Performing Arts House on campus visited local elementary schools to put on the short play "A Right Royal Mess" by S. J. Edwards. This is a great example of students coming up with a creative idea to engage with children at Sewanee Elementary and Cowan Elementary. Genevieve Melcher C'11 who directed the play and was a cast member hopes they will be able to do more shows in the Spring. Check out the video links below to see one of the SES performances. Bravo!

Christmas Foster Children

Advent Greetings to you all! Last year Sewanee gave abudantly to the foster children in Franklin County, making Christmas bright and joyful for these children. I will once again be collecting gifts for these children. Also, there is the opportunity to get a Angel from Angel Tree, which Jane Hawkins will send you.

My part in helping is to collect individual gifts, which the foster parents then see get to children.

Please show once again this year your generous spirit and love for these children.

Faithfully,
Patti Joy Posan
